A Hungarian underage gymnast has become the victim of severe abuse at the training camp at Resita.
The Romanian Gymnast Federation is accused of covering up a very serious abuse case. According to information published by the Romanian Pro Sport portal, one of the members of the gymnastic team a 15-years old boy of Hungarian ethnicity, was subjected to inhumane humiliations. Two of his Romanian colleagues applied severe, violent treatment, while the others watched passively the horrifying events unfold.
The case raises concerns about ethnic abuse, as the victim was Hungarian underage individual, who was constantly insulted regarding his Hungarian ethnicity during the beating and humiliation by his Romanian peers.

After failing to provoke the commemorators on the National Holiday of Hungarians, Mihai Tîrnoveanu, the leader of the extremist organization „Calea Neamului” (translated as the „Path of the Nation”, referring to the Romanian nation), together with some of his followers, returned to Sfântu Gheorghe. This time he intended to harass the citizens of Sfântu Gheorghe, who were doing their jobs, with huge loudspeakers and by spreading their extremist views.
Early in the afternoon on last Thursday, a pre-announced, yet for the locals an outrageous and provocative action took place in the centre of Sfântu Gheorghe, disturbing people by playing patriotic Romanian songs from loudspeakers and waving National Flags of Romania, while reminding locals that ”they live in Romania”. The authorities repeatedly called upon them to account for the noise, but without any results.

Another draft bill was submitted into the Romanian parliament that aims to make national minorities uncomfortable in the country. A Senate proposal by the extremist AUR senator, Gheorghe-Adrian Cătană, suggests declaring November 24 as the “Day of Respect for the Romanian Nation”, thus forcing national minorities in Romania to participate in humiliating public display of “respect” towards the Romanian nation.
According to the first article of the proposal, November 24 would be designated as “The Day of Respect for the Romanian Nation, by Ethnic Minorities.” Under the proposal, national minorities would be obligated to respect Romanians.

Nationalist Romanian organizations will come to celebrate in Saint George (Sfântu Gheorghe/Sepsiszentgyörgy) on the 1st of December and they are already agressively promoting their event. Mihai Tîrnoveanu, notorious for his extreme anti-Hungarian attitude, the leader of “Calea Neamului” (translated as the “Path of the Nation”, referring to the Romanian nation) is recruiting participants on his Facebook page for the above-mentioned event, which will be organized together with “Frăția Ortodoxă” (translated as the “Orthodox Brotherhood”), “Mișcarea Națională” (translated as the “National Movement”) and “Noua Dreaptă” (translated as “The New Right”).

On the occasion of the Day of the Romanian Army, the Romanian nationalist association “Calea Neamului” (translated as the “Path of the Nation”, referring to the Romanian nation), already famous for its drastic, xenophobic manifestations, together with “Frăția Ortodoxă” (translated as the “Orthodox Brotherhood”), a Romanian nationalist group, organized another anti-Hungarian march.
The provocative event had been initiated by Mihai Tîrnoveanu, the leader of Calea Neamului, notorious for his anti-Hungarian attitude, who promoted the event on his social media page, urging his followers to participate in the commemoration.
